CHARLOTTE — A lady who works at a courthouse stuffed with accused criminals is now accused of being one herself.

Channel 9′s Hunter Sáenz has realized Mecklenburg County deputy clerk Almeter Bailey is behind bars for allegedly making an attempt to rob a enterprise at gunpoint.

Police mentioned earlier this month, she walked right into a PLS Test Cashing retailer on Albemarle Street, pulled out a pistol, and tried robbing the place.

On Wednesday, court docket officers advised Sáenz she works for the Mecklenburg County Clerk of Court docket’s workplace. They mentioned she was suspended from that job 5 days after her arrest.

Bailey is being held on a $50,000 bond.
